The S358 is a dual SIM phone and features a 5-inch (1280 x 720 pixels) HD IPS touch screen display. It also comes with an 8-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and 8-megapixel front facing camera for all your selfies.
In terms of memory, the Philips S358 boasts 1GB of RAM and 8GB of internal storage, which can be further expanded to up to 32GB using a microSD card slot and 1GB RAM. The Philips S358 is priced at AED 449 and thus fall under the low- to mid-range tier.
An interesting fact about the Philips S358 is that it comes with a new technology called Miravision. The phone as mentioned before sports a 5-inch IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen display that supports HD (720p) resolution.
According to Philips, the Miravision Screen technology allows the display to feature wide viewing angles, low power usage and realistic colours. Under the hood, the phone runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop operating system.
When it comes to connectivity, the Philips S358 offers both 4G LTE and dual-SIM support, along with Bluetooth 4.0, microUSB 2.0, Wi-Fi and GPS with AGPS support. The smartphone is also powered by a 2300mAh battery that features X-Power battery saver technology for longer continuous usage time.
We ran the AnTuTu benchmark on the device and got 23756 points on an average. In terms of battery life, the S358 was able to provide a full day's worth of battery life on a single charge.
While the specs of the device are not impressive, the low price makes it an interesting choice for those looking for an affordable Android smartphone.
